Association of European Alumnae and Alumni

General Information

The Association was founded in 1988 in Munich. Its purpose is to establish and further the relations among its members, both professionally and socially, to help its members to stay in touch with the IASL and to support the IASL. To that end the Association organizes meetings in different European venues every other year and occasional events in Montreal. Since 1988 meetings have been held in Munich (1988), Rome (1990), Brussels (1992), Cannes (1994), Glasgow (1996), Vienna (1998), Amsterdam (2000), Ljubljana (2002), Zurich (2004), Bucharest (2006), Lisbon (2008) and Prague (2010). The Thirteenth Meeting will be held in Stockholm (Sweden), 07-09 June 2012, and the exciting program is bound to make the Meeting a success once again.

The focus of the activities of the Association is on Europe. Therefore any European graduate of the Institute and any other graduate residing in Europe is welcome to join as a member upon application. However, the activities of the Association are by no means exclusive and we are always happy if other graduates or friends of the IASL participate.

Through the generous support of the individual members of the Executive Committee and sponsors we have been able to attract, the Association has managed to finance its general activities without having to collect membership dues. We are determined to keep it that way.

If you are a European graduate of the Institute or a graduate residing in Europe we would like to keep you informed about our activities by circular letters. So, please, let us know your address if you are not on our mailing list and keep us informed about any address changes. Also, let us know if you have any professional achievements or personal news that you would like us to announce in our circular letters or on this website. This site was realized with the support of
